There’s a scene where the characters discuss their favorite Christmas movies
Scenario
Helen embarks on a passionate affair with a man who has no idea of her secret identity. Caught in the crosshairs when her lover falls victim to London’s dangerous underworld, Helen’s employer calls in Sam to protect her. Neither of them mentions love, in fact, a very popular Christmas movie.
This is probably because Keira Knightly stars in both movies
In Graham Norton and guest: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024). It has a great cast, which is why I sat down to watch it. However, it took me about 10 minutes to realize that this is not a serious take on the old spy game.
This is not Tinker, The Tailor, etc
and it has nothing on the finely tuned tension/humor of Slow Horses. If Love Actually, Slow Horses, and a comic book got together and had a baby, this would be it… with extra KAPOW. It’s funny and watchable, but don’t get your hopes up.
You can watch it completely drunk and still follow the story
You won’t be finishing one episode desperately wanting to start the next. Like I said, it’s worth checking out the amazing cast and everything Ben W. is in.
